How to add a signature in Spark

If you already have a signature, copy its HTML code and follow the steps below. If you need one, make it free on Signatoro, then click "Copy HTML": the Spark signature editor has an HTML mode that takes the code as it is.

Add a signature in Spark

To add the signature in Spark on Mac or Windows:

1. On Signatoro's generator, click "Copy HTML".
2. Open Spark Settings.
3. Select "Composer", then "Signatures".
4. Click "Create Signature" at the top right.
5. Click "HTML" at the bottom right and paste.
6. Click "Save".
7. In the "Default Signature" section, pick the new signature for each account you send from.

Change your Spark signature

To change a signature in Spark on Mac or Windows, open Spark Settings, select "Composer", then "Signatures", and click the signature to edit it. On an iPhone or Android phone, tap the menu icon at the top left, open Settings, then "Signatures", and tap the signature in the list.

To add the signature in Spark on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Open Settings, then "Signatures".
3. Make sure the "Use Email Signatures" toggle is on, then tap "Add Signature".
4. Tap "HTML" at the top right and paste the code from "Copy HTML".
5. Tap "Default for" and tick the account.

Spark signature on Android

Spark's help page for Android describes a text signature editor and does not mention an HTML mode, so add an HTML signature, such as one from Signatoro, in Spark on a computer or an iPhone first. Spark syncs signatures to every device signed in with the same Spark account. To pick the default on Android, tap the menu icon at the top left, tap Settings at the bottom, select "Mail accounts", choose the account, then "Default Signature".

Why is my Spark signature not showing on new emails?

Spark adds no signature to new emails when the account's default is set to "No Signature". Open Spark Settings, select "Composer", then "Signatures", and in the "Default Signature" section pick your signature for each account you send from. On an iPhone, the same choice is under Settings, "Mail Accounts", the account, then "Default Signature".

Why does my Spark signature show as code?

A Spark signature shows as code when the HTML was pasted into the normal text editor. Open the signature in Spark Settings, "Composer", "Signatures", delete what is in it, click "HTML" at the bottom right, and paste the code again, for example from Signatoro's "Copy HTML" button. On an iPhone, "HTML" is at the top right.

Why does Spark remove the spacing in my signature?

Users report that Spark sometimes drops the space between lines or paragraphs of a signature once the email is sent, even though the signature looks right in the composer. One user quotes Spark support confirming the bug. If you see it, contact Spark support through the chat on Spark's help pages and include the signature.

Will my Spark signature sync to my other devices?

Spark lists signatures among the settings it syncs to every device where you sign in with the same Spark account, which Spark calls your "Email for Sync". A signature added in Spark on a Mac, Windows computer or iPhone therefore shows up in Spark on your other devices, including Android, once you sign in there with that address.

How do I remove "Sent with Spark" from my emails?

Spark has a toggle for its "Sent with Spark" line. On Mac or Windows, open Spark Settings, select "Composer", then "Signatures", and turn off 'Display "Sent with Spark" tagline'. On an iPhone or Android phone, the same toggle is under Settings, then "Signatures". Your own signature stays on every email.

Can I use a different signature on one email in Spark?

Spark lets you switch signatures while you write. On Mac or Windows, use the arrow buttons on the signature in the message to choose another one, or choose "Hide Signature" to leave it off that email. On an iPhone, tap the signature in the message and choose another from the list, or tap the cross to remove it.

If you're an assistant setting this up on someone's behalf: use "Copy HTML". On Mac or Windows the path is Spark Settings > "Composer" > "Signatures" > "Create Signature" > "HTML" > paste > "Save", then set it under "Default Signature" for every account. Do this on a computer or iPhone: the Android help page has no HTML mode, and the signature syncs to Android through the person's Spark account.
