How to add a signature in Mailbird
How to add an email signature in Mailbird Classic and Mailbird Next, get it on replies, use more than one signature per account, and fix missing images.

Mailbird comes as two apps: the original one for Windows, which Mailbird now calls Mailbird Classic, and Mailbird Next for Mac and Windows. Each app has its own signature settings.
Add a signature in Mailbird
To add the signature in Mailbird Classic on Windows:
- Click the Menu icon, the three horizontal lines at the top left, then "Settings".
- Select the "Identities" tab.
- Double-click the identity (your email address) to edit it.
- Paste the signature into the signature box, and save.
Add a signature in Mailbird Next
To add the signature in Mailbird Next on Mac or Windows:
- Click the Settings icon, the gear at the bottom left.
- Select the "Signatures" tab at the top.
- Paste the signature into the empty signature field and give it a name.
- Use the "Default for..." menu to pick the account it is for.
- Save, then write a new email to check that the signature shows.
Change your Mailbird signature
To change a signature in Mailbird Classic, open "Settings", then "Identities", double-click the identity, delete what is in the signature box, and paste the new signature, such as one copied from Signatoro. In Mailbird Next, click the gear at the bottom left, open the "Signatures" tab, edit the signature there, and save.

How do I add my Mailbird signature to replies?
Users report that a Mailbird Classic identity can be set to add the signature to new messages only, which leaves replies and forwards without one. Open "Settings", then "Identities", double-click the identity, and check which kinds of email the signature is set for. If replies are left out, include them there and save the identity.
Can I have more than one signature for one email account in Mailbird?
Mailbird Classic allows one signature per identity, and Mailbird's own help says more than one signature per account is not possible yet. The workaround Mailbird gives is to add a second identity for the same address, under "Settings", then "Identities", then "Add", and give that identity its own signature. You then pick the identity in the From field when you write.
Why does the logo in my Mailbird signature show up as an attachment?
Mailbird's help says an image uploaded into a signature that is bigger than 15 KB shows as an attachment in Gmail on the web. A photo or logo uploaded to Signatoro is hosted at a public web address with a fixed pixel width, so Mailbird sends it as a link and it stays in the body of the email.
Why is the image in my Mailbird signature not showing for the recipient?
Some mail programs hide pictures until the reader chooses to load them, and Mailbird's help for Mailbird Next says a recipient may not see signature images until then. The text of the signature still arrives in full. Once the reader loads images, the photo and logo in a signature from Signatoro show as designed.
Will my signature move from Mailbird Classic to Mailbird Next?
Mailbird Next can import your Mailbird Classic signatures with their formatting, HTML signatures included. The import is offered when you first set up Mailbird Next on a computer that has Classic installed. To run it later, open Settings, then Advanced, then "Import from Mailbird Classic". Classic keeps its own copy.
Why is my signature missing from Quick Reply in Mailbird Next?
Mailbird's help says to check two things when a Mailbird Next signature is missing from Quick Reply or a separate compose window: that the account has a saved signature, and that the message is being sent from that account. The Mailbird Next release notes also list a fix that makes Quick Reply include the signature, so update the app first.
For agents
If you're an assistant setting this up on someone's behalf: in Mailbird Classic the path is Menu > "Settings" > "Identities" > double-click the identity > paste into the signature box. In Mailbird Next it is the gear at the bottom left > "Signatures" tab > paste > "Default for...". Paste the signature as formatted text from "Copy signature". Each Classic identity has one signature; for a second signature on the same address, add a second identity.
