OpenAI dots email signature

A dot sends mail through a connected account, not an inbox of its own. The Signatoro plugin applies the person's signature to that mail when it sends.

What an OpenAI dot is

OpenAI dots are the agent, not an inbox vendor - a dot uses plugins and connected accounts, Gmail is the example given, and at launch cannot have its own standalone email address (learn.chatgpt.com/docs/dots, launched 29 Sep 2026, checked 1 October 2026).

How the signature gets there

The Signatoro plugin applies the person's own signature when a dot sends through a connected account, so it does not invent one.

It fetches Signatoro at send time via MCP or the REST API. Not built in. Not a native integration, not a marketplace listing, not a company-wide key.

Each agent is its own Signatoro person - for a dot, that is the same per-person key as the account it connects through.

One signature, any agent you add or swap in

Companies try more than one AI agent, or switch which one sends their mail. Because the signature stays in Signatoro rather than inside any one agent, adding a dot alongside Squad, Viktor, or a mailbox does not mean building the signature again - it applies the same saved signature the person already has.
