Gemini email signature

Gemini writes in Gmail and now sends from other Workspace apps too. Signatoro keeps your real signature on each of those emails.

How Gemini sends email

"Help me write" in Gmail writes a draft in Gmail's own compose window, and you click "Send". In the Gemini app, "Share & export" and then "Draft in Gmail" saves a response as a Gmail draft.

Since a rollout that began on September 2, 2026, Gemini can draft an email from meeting notes or an open document and either open it as a Gmail draft or send it from the Workspace app you are in. Google says Gemini first shows a preview card to review, edit and confirm. Eligible plans include Business and Enterprise Standard and Plus, and Google AI Pro and Ultra.

Gemini Spark, the agent in the Gemini app, drafts, replies to and forwards email for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers with a personal Google Account, and asks you to confirm before sending.

Why some Gemini emails have no signature

Gmail adds your signature in its compose window, so "Help me write" drafts carry it. Google's Gmail API reference says the Gmail signature is included in messages composed in the Gmail web interface. For an email sent from a Docs preview card or by Spark, Google does not say whether your Gmail signature is added, so check one sent email.

A signature picture can go missing too. Google says an image added from Google Drive shows only if the file is shared with anyone who has the link. A photo or logo uploaded to Signatoro is hosted at a public web address.

How Signatoro gives Gemini your signature

You keep one signature on Signatoro and install it in Gmail once. Gemini's Gmail drafts pick it up there, and the paths that skip Gmail's compose window get the text version or an API fetch.

  • Agentic sending: for Gemini Spark, click "Copy as text" on Signatoro and add "End every email you draft, reply to or forward in Gmail with these lines:" and the signature to "Instructions for Gemini". On a preview card, check the signature is there once before you confirm.
  • API fetch and sync: an automation you build on the Gmail API calls the Signatoro signature API before each send and appends the HTML or text it returns, so it always sends the current version.
  • "Help me write" and "Draft in Gmail": install your Signatoro signature in Gmail as the default for new emails and for replies, and Gmail adds it.
  • Company signatures: an owner sets the name, logo, layout and, on the Up to 15 plan or larger, one footnote line for everyone, and every API fetch carries them.

When an email from Gemini should say AI wrote it

When Gemini sends from a Docs preview card, the email goes out under your name. Whether it should say an AI wrote it generally depends on where you are and what the email does. The disclosure guide covers what the rules typically ask, and a footnote line on Signatoro can carry the wording on every email.

Gemini email signature questions

Does Gemini in Gmail use my Gmail signature?

Yes. "Help me write" writes into Gmail's compose window, and Gmail adds the signature you chose as the default for new emails and for replies. If it is missing, click "Insert signature" in the message window.

Can Gemini send emails for me?

Yes, after you confirm. Since September 2026, Gemini can send an email from the Workspace app you are in after a preview card, and Gemini Spark replies to and forwards email for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers with a personal account.

Does an email Gemini sends from Google Docs include my signature?

Google does not document it. Read the preview card before you confirm, add your text signature if it is missing, and check the first email in your Sent folder.

Why is the picture missing from my signature in an email Gemini drafted?

The image has to load from a public address. Google says an image added from Google Drive shows only if the file is shared with anyone who has the link. Images uploaded to Signatoro are hosted at a public address.

How do I keep my signature current in email Gemini sends?

Install it in Gmail from Signatoro, and have any automation you build fetch it from the Signatoro API at send time. Each fetch returns the version saved on Signatoro.
