A happy holiday email signature for the whole team

Add one seasonal line, such as a greeting or your holiday hours, under everyone's signature at once, and take it off again in January.

What to include

  • One short line: a greeting, the days the office is closed, and the day you are back.
  • Dates written as weekdays and dates, such as "Monday, January 4".
  • The same line for everyone, set once as the company footer.
  • A plan to take the line off in the first week of January.
  • A matching out-of-office reply for the days you are away.

US federal holidays this season

Dates for a holiday-hours line, from the US Office of Personnel Management. Federal offices observe these days; private companies set their own hours.

One seasonal line, set once for everyone

On the Up to 15 plan or larger, the owner writes the holiday line as the company footnote on Signatoro. Everyone gets their updated signature by email to paste, and an AI assistant that sends for the company picks it up on its next send. In January, the owner swaps the line back the same way.

Questions people ask

How do I add a holiday message to everyone's email signature?

On the Up to 15 plan or larger, the owner writes it as the company footnote on Signatoro. Everyone gets their updated signature by email to paste into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail.

What should a holiday signature line say?

One short sentence: a greeting, the days the office is closed, and the day you are back. For example: "Our office is closed December 24 through January 1, and we are back on Monday, January 4."

Is a holiday signature the same as an out-of-office reply?

They work together. An out-of-office reply answers mail that comes in while you are away; the signature is on every email you send. Gmail puts your signature under the vacation responder reply, so a holiday line shows in both.

Can the holiday line be an image?

Signatoro keeps it as text, which reads in every mail app, including ones that hold back images until the reader allows them. The company logo and each person's headshot stay as they are.

When does the holiday line come off?

When the owner changes the footnote back, usually in the first week of January. Everyone gets the restored signature by email, the same way they got the holiday one.

Built into every signature

  • A shared company footer - logo, layout, color, font, review badge and booking button - that every member's signature follows.
  • Logo and photo support, hosted so they show without attachments.
